Blackberry Smoke @ House of Blues Anaheim – 04/12/2016Southern Rockers Blackberry Smoke still out supporting their February 2015 release Holding All The Roses made a stop at the Anaheim House of Blues on Tuesday night April 14. The Blackberry Smoke faithful lined up about an hour before the doors opened to get a choice spot on the floor up front and center.  Kicking off the show with “Fire in the Hole”, this band is defiantly putting Southern Rock back on the map in a big way.

Charlie Starr wasted no time in getting down to business with his awesome southern guitar riffs and vocals. Country meets rock is what this crowd seemed to like most. “Six Ways”, Let Me Help You” and “Pretty Lil Lie” took the band into high gear for this eighteen song set. They powered through their set keeping the crowd entertained and screaming the whole night. One of the crowd favorites of the night was the dedication of “Aint got the Blues” to the Legendary Merle Haggard.

With lots of Gibson guitar changes on almost every song, Blackberry Smoke closed out the night with “Roses”; but the sett wasn’t over, cause this crowd was not gonna leave till they had some more. The band came back out after taking a much deserved beverage break. “Too High”, “Deep Elm” and “Aint Much Left” closed the encore and ended the show. Blackberry Smoke continues on additional US Tour dates before taking their show to Europe and the United Kingdom. If you haven’t seen this band in concert or are not a fan, its guaranteed you will be after experiencing their live performance. Be sure to check them out if you get the chance.
