Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington will have a long day ahead of him at the Epicenter ’09 showcase, this Saturday at the Pomona Fairplex.

Not only will he be performing with the two-time Grammy-winning Linkin Park, but he will also be introducing another project, Dead By Sunrise, as they are set to make their Southern California debut. Along with Bennington, Dead By Sunrise features guitarists Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh (formerly of Orgy). Joining them are current Julien-K members: bassist Brandon Belsky, drummer Elias Andra, and Anthony “FU” Valcic on the keyboards.

The band will be performing at Epicenter ’09 to promote the release of their debut album Out of Ashes, which is set to hit stores October 13.

The album, which was produced by Howard Benson (Motorhead, My Chemical Romance), showcases a different, more intimate side of Bennington, as the inspiration for most of the tracks came from personal experiences from his life.

Originally planned as a solo project, Out of Ashes was put on hold for four years, during which time the band was formed.

Bennington still plans to make Linkin Park his priority, but says he feels a great sense of accomplishment through Dead by Sunrise and their debut record.

Their first single, “Crawl Back In”, is available for download on iTunes and can also be heard on the band’s Myspace page (myspace.com/deadbysunrise).
