Singer/Songwriter/producer and multi-instrumentalist Fernando Perdomo and the “Band of Voyeurs” performed a passionate and energetic set of original material (pop rock and progressive rock) from his most recent released CD Voyeurs on March 24 at the Canyon Club. The album and CD was recorded and produced by Perdomo who played all instruments and sang on every track. Supported by a dynamic and seasoned band of supporting musicians whose credits read like a who’s who in the music industry, featured Paul Mouradjian on keyboards, Matt Tecu on drums & backing vocals and Jennifer Jo Oberle on bass and backing vocals.

The overall sound was sonically crisp, full bodied, live and expansive. Perdomo is a versatile guitar phenomenon who delivered several blistering solos that found him literally lost in the music and transformed the songs taking them to otherworldly places. Fernando Perdomo is a natural frontman that’s at ease with in-between song banter and told several quick stories about inspiration for his material. His vocals, though often a bit monotone at times, seemed to build and become more intense, distinctively persuasive and gripping as the set wore on grabbing the audience’s attention and captivating them emotionally. “I Am The Cosmos,” a Big Star cover, performed as the show’s closing number, was example of how enthralling Fernando Perdomo and the “Band of Voyeurs” are as a unit. This song greatly showcased the band at the peak of their musical powers. The talented group left concertgoers with a strong and memorable impression holding them with interest based on virtuosity and the fury of a mesmerizing performance.

Set List:

The One You Run To | Feels | Holding Back I Love You’s | Angel | Smile | Home | I am The Cosmos (Big Star)
