Friendly Faces at NAMM 2015
The first official day of the 2015 NAMM Show was held on Thursday January 22nd at the Anaheim Convention Center. Thousands of music merchants, owners, suppliers, employees, endorsed artists, and guests made the trek into Anaheim, battling large crowds to witness all of the latest releases in musical instruments, audio products, and music technology. This year’s convention featured over 1600 companies representing over 5000 brands of musical instruments and will have nearly 100,000 attendees as well as the hundreds of related live concerts and events taking place in Southern California all weekend long. The number of new exhibiting companies more than doubled from 2014, as 331 companies showed at NAMM for the first time proving that the music industry is alive and well and new companies look to NAMM to kick start their product line.
Hundreds of endorsing artists had scheduled signings throughout the 2015 NAMM Convention while many artists were seen just simply walking the show floor and investigating some of the new musical products on display. Stevie Wonder drew a large crowd following him around the Convention center as did Apple Computer Co-Founder Steve Wozniak who was seen stopping in the Ultimate Ears booth to get his ears fitted for custom ear monitors. Below are many of the familiar faces seen at the 2015 NAMM Show.
