George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic @ NAMM GoPro Stage –The National Association of Music Merchants held their annual 2015 NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center from January 22-25, 2015. As part of this year’s festivities many talented musical acts performed short concert sets at various stages located throughout the convention center complex.  As part of this celebration on Friday night January 23rd The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus held their 2015 Imagine Party at the NAMM GoPro Stage on the Grand Plaza and featured legendary act George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic. The John Lennon Bus is a traveling audio visual studio that roams the country spreading the joy of music to the nation’s youth by demoing the latest in audio, video, and musical instrument technology.

For their part, the legendary funk act Parliament Funkadelic did not disappoint and played over an hour long set of classic jams and covers for this festive occasion. Ringmaster George Clinton led a huge group of musicians through their paces including many guest artists who also happened to be attending the convention. Legendary bassist John Norwood Fisher of Fishbone and percussionist Sheila E. were just a few of the many guest stars seen slipping into and out of the groove on stage. Highlights of the set included the classic “Give Up The Funk” and the funky groove of “Dog Catcher.” 10 year old guitar prodigy Brandon Niederauer was also on hand laying down some of the most impressive playing of the evening.

Overall this fantastic NAMM Imagine party was just another great example of the first class entertainment seen all over Anaheim the entire weekend of this amazing convention.
