Joe Satriani @ FOX Performing Arts Center – 03/03/2016
The biggest-selling instrumental rock guitarist of all time Joe Satriani brought his “From Surfing To Shockwave” tour to The FOX Performing Arts Center in Riverside on Thursday night March 3. With his first album released in 1986, Satriani is spotlighting his 30-year career on this tour playing a little of everything from his back catalogue.
Playing two sets that included hits and more obscure songs Satriani and his band that included Marco Minnemann on drums and Bryan Beller on bass along with fellow guitarist Mike Keneally who also plays keyboards took those in attendance through a magical musical journey that only Joe Satriani can do.
The band especially Satriani played each song with such precision and emotion throughout the entire set. Satriani’s technical ability and creative use of his whammy bar are a sight to be seen a well a heard. In addition to the amazing songs played each band member had the opportunity to showcase their respective talents which are certainly on par with Satriani’s abilities.
