REVIEW: Mackenzie Bourg “Everyone’s Got A Story”
The Voice’s Mackenzie Bourg melted America’s hearts the first time he stepped on stage and performed Foster The People’s “Pumped Up Kicks.” Soon after, it was the moment Bourg created his own masterpiece version of Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” that he proved he was a true artist. Although he left us way too soon on the The Voice, the Team Cee-lo alum has just recently gifted us with his debut single “Everyone’s Got A Story.”
“Everyone’s Got A Story” is a captivating song filled with heart-warming lyrics, delicately mesmerizing instrumentation and soulfully soothing vocals. As you listen to his single, you can hear sprinkles of a young John Mayer, which is bound to garner major excitement and high praise. However, I still firmly believe that Bourg displays his own uniquely charming vocal and is on a supremely special category of his own.
What makes this song so great is that Bourg does a brilliant job of infusing a soulful vibe, yet still maintains to deliver a modern day singer/songwriter pop song, which should help in receiving great radio play.
The 19-year-old heartthrob has definitely thrilled his loyal fans, dubbed the “Mac Pack,” with the release of “Everyone’s Got A Story,” as it is one of those songs you will replay over and over again and fall deeper in love with it each and every single time.
It is indeed true that “everyone’s got a story” and I know the story of young Mackenzie Bourg will be one for the storybooks, as he continues to gain enduring success, while impacting the lives of his growing fan base with meaningful lyrics, extraordinary guitar playing and beautiful vocals.
I highly recommend you all to download the single. You will not regret it! You can find the single on iTunes! Here is the link: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/everyones-got-a-story-single/id602833945
