Stone Sour @ House of Blues – Anaheim 2/15/2011

Roadrunner records recording artist Stone Sour stormed into Anaheim last night with a power packed set. The Des Moise, Iowa natives fronted by Slipknot’s Corey Taylor on Vocals came out with all guns blazing as the capacity crowd at the House of Blues went nuts.

Taylor brought his charismatic charm and aggression to the stage, while Slipknot’s other contribution of Jim Rooth, who is usually demonic with Slipknot, was laughing and having a good time throughout the show.

The set consisted of favorites from all 3 of their albums, with the highlights being Mission Statement, and their very popular slower number Say You’ll Haunt me, both off of the 2010 Audio Secrecy album.

Taylor donned a guitar several times, but the standout was definitely his solo performance of Bother from the 2002 self-titled debut, which found Taylor alone on stage putting on a show all his own.

If you missed the show last night, don’t worry Stone Sour will perform tonight on the Jimmy Kimmel show, so be sure to catch that.
