Vintage Trouble @ The Wiltern Theatre – 11/15/2017
The historic Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles hosted Rhythm & Blues rockers Vintage Trouble on Wednesday, November 15 as part of their current US tour. Walking through the entry doors of The Wiltern you are greeted to an art deco lobby and a beautiful auditorium with the sunburst on the ceiling, all reminiscent of 1930’s Hollywood.
Vintage Trouble opened the set with “Strike Your Light”. This audience immediately went into full party dance mode, an incredible scene from a 1950’s devil music, rebel, hell fire rock and roll show. Singer Ty Taylor had the audience in the palm of his hands, he said jump you jumped, he said sway left to right you swayed from left to right. No crossed arms tonight in Los Angeles.
This band is nothing but energy, during “Run Like The River”, Ty did just that. Jumping on the pit rail, down into orchestra, up loge to the balcony. How do you top that? By crowd surfing your way back to the stage. The crowd foot stomping and at this point singing in tongues. We just got churched.
This band hails out of Los Angeles, Ty Taylor vocals, Nalle Colt guitarist, Rick Barrio Dill bassist and drummer Richard Danielson. Vintage Trouble currently out on tour supporting The Bomb Shelter Sessions, 1 Hopeful Rd. and The Swinghouse Acoustic Sessions. Vintage Trouble the perfect mix of blues, rock, passion and so much soul. The obvious influences are there, no need to mention. They are holding the torch for others to follow.
